Mantilla Veil
By Bobette Kyle-Wagner | January 30, 2008
The mantilla veil is distinctive because of it scalloped edge. Traditionally, they were made from embroidered Chantilly or Blonda lace. Nowdays, some mantillas are made from tulle, with embroidered edging. The veil is made from a single piece of non-gathered material, which is draped over the head and secured with an unobtrusive comb or pin.
