Wedding Gown Favorites

By Bobette Kyle-Wagner | January 22, 2008

Bonny 647With nearly 14 months before the wedding, Amarette can take her time shopping for the perfect gown. It’s a Saturday evening wedding, so a somewhat formal dress is in order. We started out by deciding which general style she likes best…the a-line, which actually looks nice on most body shapes. (Not that she couldn’t wear any style and have it look good. The child actually LOST 15 pounds while training as Assistant Manager for an ice cream shop. Go figure.) After only two sessions she’s decided the sweetheart neckline and sparkly bodice is the best. The embellishments have to come to a point in front to complement the neckline…plain at the sides of the bodice so she doesn’t scratch her arms rubbing against the rhinestones. She’d love to have a corset-tie back because she likes that look. And a long train, with decor around the hem and up the front. Our favorite at the moment is Bonny 647 (that’s it in the picture).

You can’t really see it, but the train has a bit of organza to give it a unique look without getting all puffy about it. Of course this design’s from last Fall, so kind of hard at this point to find one online at a good price, but we’ve got Google alerts going on for it, with an eye on eBay and Craig’s List as well.
