Wedding Favor Ideas
By Bobette Kyle-Wagner | May 29, 2008
If you are like most, a lot of thought goes into just the right gesture of gratitude to offer guests at the reception. Most often, this takes the form of a small gift — or wedding favor — placed at the tables. Prices range from under $1 to several dollars each. As a starting point, you will most likely want to somehow match the favors to your wedding’s theme. Also, you will want to decide what type of favor to have. General favor ideas include:
- Personalization. A personalized wedding favor is generally monogramed with the couple’s initials or inscribed with their names and wedding date. On the inexpensive side, you could provide personalized fans at guest tables. For a different feel, personalized champagne flutes or bud vases (pictured at left) are popular.
- Chocolate. Wedding favors made from chocolate or candy are favorites as well. A few idease: (1) Fill the previously mentioned glasses or vases with bulk candy. (2) Order personalized chocolate bar wedding favors. (3) Choose from endless variations of premade chocolate wedding favors.
- Bubbles. Wedding bubbles are recently popular. These come in shapes (such as a wedding cake, rose bud, or champagne bottle) or in plain bottles you can dress up with personalized ribbons.
