Wedding Gown Preservation and Restoration

The wedding is over. The dress was a hit. Everyone raved. You looked like a million dollars. Now what? Now, you do not want to shove the dress of your dreams under the bed and forget about it. Why not? A million reasons, but consider only one. Some day, if you have a daughter, you want to give her the option of wearing your dress to walk down the aisle at her wedding. It may be something old, but you don’t want it look that way. Preserve your moment; preserve your dress. Have it expertly cleaned, restored (if necessary) and boxed. Gown preservation and restoration is both art and science. It is much more than dry cleaning, which is of course why it costs a bit more. To find a gown preservation professional in your area, search Google with keywords: your city and state wedding gown preservation (replacing "your city and state" with your own, of course)

There are other options as well. Some national companies sell  or through retail outlets. Using packing materials and instructions found in the kit you ship your dress to them for preservation and restoration. When complete, they ship the dress back to you. If you’re the independent type, the good news is that you can preserve your own gown the same way the professionals do.
