How to Have Comfortable Wedding Day Feet

How to Have Comfortable Wedding Day Feet 1The last few days, as part of Shoes Week, I’ve been talking about breaking in your shoes and practicing walking in heels for comfort. There are additional ways to assure your feet are both comfortable and fashionable as well:

Stay flat. Select a pretty pair of flats or low-heeled bridal shoes for your big day.

Double up. Consider two sets of shoes: a more formal pair for the wedding ceremony, photographs, and grand entrance at the reception; and a pair of flats or wedding tennis shoes, Crocs, or Skechers to slip into when you arrive at the reception.

Wedding tennis shoes? I’m kidding right? Wrong. You can decorate plain white ones with crystals, ribbon, and lace. You can’t beat them for sheer comfort! There are other wedding-friendly casual shoes, too, such as these flip flops.

Whatever you choose, don’t forget to try on your dress with the shoes and move around in them. Simulate the movements you’ll be making throughout your wedding day: up and down steps, in and out of vehicles, dancing, walking, and standing. This is the best way to prevent unexpected falls, trips, or tears caused by a too-long hem.

Enjoy! ~Bobette Kyle, My Online Wedding Help
