Planning a wedding on a limited budget is tough. You not only have to ABSOLUTELY get everything done by The Big Day, but you have to be able to pay for it as well. All this while keeping your dream intact. There’s good news–it is possible. Planning in general, which most always involves financial constraints, has been part of my life’s work for over 20 years.
Planning itself, with the seemingly infinite number of details to make happen, can be complicated. In my days as an employee, when I held several positions in charge of all areas of marketing planning and implementation, I learned that breaking it into chunks and staying organized help immensely. (In case you are wondering, my planning experience also includes authoring a book on marketing planning, as well as co-owning two day planner companies.)
Add in the budget aspect and you may be feeling overwhelmed. But it will be OK, I promise. Your keys here are (a) knowing where you stand as you go about committing to services and buying products, (b) avoiding unforeseen costs, and (c) following the “5 limited budget wedding tips.” The latter can be quite fun. I love finding bargains, probably a result of my early days while working my way through college as a single mother.
Throughout the website you will find tips, tutorials, videos, and products. These will help guide you through the perils of wedding planning; managing the money; and choosing and buying your wedding items while following those five previously-mentioned rules.
I am Bobette Kyle, owner and publisher of MyOnlineWeddingHelp.com and author of Dream Wedding on a Dime; 7 Secrets for the Budget-Savvy Bride.
My intrigue with wedding planning using the Internet started when my husband and I eloped to Las Vegas. Neither of us are party type people and we just wanted to go and have a private ceremony. But, our family wanted to feel like they were a part of it. So I discovered, among other helpful online features, some of the chapels stream the wedding on the Internet so friends and families can watch.
That last piece got me thinking, “If I didn’t know you can bring the Internet into the wedding planning process–and I’m an Internet geek, I LOVE the Internet–there were probably a lot of others out there who don’t know they can do it, either.” And My Online Wedding Help was born!
On the personal side, I live in Saint Louis, Missouri with my husband, Tim Wagner and our two cats, Shadow and Miss Kitty. We have one daughter and are grandparents to the two most adorable grandboys ever!
